Default Not an f150 but

I was offered this beautiful 96 f350 for $500 but another $125 to my house. He said he will hold it for me. His dad bought it new but he blew it up. Has 7.3 in it. Does anybody know anything about the 7.3. Idk much about it or whether i should buy a new crate engine which will probly cost $3000 or so probly more or have it professionaly rebiult for about $5000 or find a used one for probly $1500. Can anybody school me on the 7.3. Im probly gonna buy the truck anyhow because thats a lot of truck for $625. Thanks

!!!625!!?!? the **** i would buy that just for the body panels much less putting an engine in it.

a used engine on Craigslist here is like 1500-3k depending on miles the 7.3l is the best diesel engine ford ever made. a truck like that even with a blown engine would be 2k where i live easy. a good engine and lets say 200k miles, its a 8-10k truck.

Do it! Even with a blown engine the rest is worth allot more. Depending on whats actually wrong with the engine, you can choose to have it rebuilt. But trust me diesel mechanics are allot more expensive than regular automotive techs. To save time and money your best bet would be to find a good used engine that you could drop in, find a good quality or have someone inspect the transfer and injection pump and you should be golden.

I would buy that in a heart beat! Heck even drop in the 4.9L while I'm looking for another 7.3L

Buy it now and trade me that rust free bed!

Even if you don't put a motor in it, you can sell that truck as it sits for far more than you paid so it's a win win

be careful, and i would pay someone else to transport it, see what the guy says about that, and dont forget to check the title against the vin tag BEFORE you pay the guy.
