hi to everyone first off. now on to my problem i bought a chrome turndown exhaust tip a couple days ago and its 21/2" .this is the problem it has 2 screws that are used to hold it on well my pipe thats on my truck is also 2 1/2" .so do you guys think it would be better to cut some pipe off and buy a reducer or just weld the tip on after i cut off the extra pipe

take it to a exhaust shop, and have them expand it a bit, unless its chrome, only do that with stainless.

Take it back and have the exhaust shop weld on a good tip. That one would look cheesy with the screws anyway.

well its chrome and i can weld so i figured save myself the money and just grind a little chrome off take the screws out and weld it on after i cut some excess pipe off

i know what kind of tip your talking about i have tghem on my truck i agree get a better tip they rust like no other and you have to steel wool and WD40 every other day so i would get a stainless one

well i just welded it on and if it rusts oh well i plan on gettin a new exhaust this summer when i get a job any way
