'96 F-150 4.9 crank position sensor bracket
Help! A local shop is installing a rebuilt motor in my '96 F-150, 4.9. They busted the crank position sensor and the bracket. Three Ford dealers have sent over new crank sensors which were supposed to include the mounting bracket as well, according to their parts dept. The shop tells me the bracket is made out of unobtainium, meaning the dealers cannot supply one and the salvage yards claim this bracket is used only on the '96 F-150 4.9 litre and they don't have one. the crank sensor has two ears, or mounting flange, but its the bracket that the sensor mounts to that seems to be the issue. Any ideas out there?
