Default 95 F150 Coolant Leak

Well I got in my dads truck this morning (mine is in the shop) and was heading to take my mom to work, and me to school.. when I pulled off at the store to get gas.

Well there was smoke coming out from under the hood.. I was like oh crap.

It's a 95 F150.

There is coolant leaking from behind some part. I work on diesels, and this is the first time working on my dad's truck so some parts are a little confusing.

Here is where the coolant is leaking out of:

It's squiring all over stuff and burning on the ex. manifold.

Any ideas?! Thanks.

IIRC, there are also a couple of smaller hoses going to the throttle butterfly assembly. Hopefully it's just the hose and not the fitting or assembly!

The hose there gets very hot as it touches the engine. The heat causes the hose to break down and leak. Replace hose. Hard to get to, but can be done.

I hate to raise a dead thread and use it for my own purposes but could someone please tell me what that part is that he left red line covers and wear that hose out the bottom is supposed to go, because looking under my truck today i noticed that somewhere in the past it has been cut and solder/welded shut.......

Sounds like someone did an EGR delete, that's the EGR valve on the left side of the red box.

Exactly egr valve. The tube goes to the head depending on year. You may have a check engines light on. I recommend repairing it. The egr is an important system.

i have the same problem and the same truck. after taking the valve off found that it wasnt the problem. There are two plugs, one on top of the other just to the right of the valve. The bottom one you cant see in your pic is leaking on mine. Asked two mech. about it and they hadnt seen those type of plugs before(not ford techs). I'm about ready to just seal it with jb weld unless anyone has some bright ideas?

Did you end up jb welding the hole? I bought this f150 truck recently and notice that there was a deal right above that area were a hose should have been connected so looked like whoever had it before rerouted the hoses so I put them back the way they were supposed to go and out came antifreeze from that hole you were talking about jb welding.. I have no idea what it is either.. Thinking about just rerouting the hoses back to were they were before which basically cuts off the water supply so that it doesn't come out of that hole/plug area.. If I were to guess it has something to do with the heater core why it's apart of the manifold I don't know..
