Default Battery light flashing

For some reason my battery light just started flashing. It doesnt flash all the time but its mostly when im going slow or rolling to a stop, but this could be a coincidence because thats when i notice. Does anybody know anything about this i would like to get it fixed so any help would greatly be appreciated.

Have the alternator tested, does the volt gauge on the dash drop when the light comes on?

i will have that checked, so you think the alternator is bad? or could it be something else?

Most likely the alt since the light coming on seems to be rpm related. Could be the serpentine belt is slipping but doubtful.. Another could be the battery itself but that symptom would be a failure to crank.

Make sure to check ( really well ) all battery cables, alt wires, clamps and grounds. Then test the system under load. Do any other lights come on?

Yeah when that light comes on, means the alt isn't maintaining the battery anymore. Usually the lights on the dash and headlights dim down.

I suspected my alt the other day. Was struggling to start. I had it running and disconnected pos cable, no change. If the alt was bad, it would have died. Put cable back on and parked it, just for grins I tried to start it, nothing.. Disconnect neg cable and 2 days later reconnected cable...started right up better than before. :/

Glad it started, confused to why
..lol
