Default 95 351 missing leaving idle

Hi all. I have a 95 351W auto, 4x4. I have done all the tune up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor.

The truck is misfiring when slowly leaving idle, if I leave idle hard it runs hard.

Im not thinking it is the TPS sensor because if I simply let off the brake and let it begin to pull away from a stop, it will miss then also.

Finally, it stalls when rolling to a stop from time to time.

Any help to the newbie would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Perhaps inspect your Idle Air Control (IAC) solenoid. These were prone to fouling, particularly with the 87-91 model years, resulting in idle speed control problems.

Two screws and one electrical connector, and it's off. A good spritzing with carb cleaner usually does the trick.

A TPS problem will generally throw a code, identified by the Check Engine lamp coming on.

Its possible your stalling is caused by the IAC...its easy to take off and clean so its not a bad idea to do it. But as for the misfire, its probably an ignition problem. Maybe a bad magnetic pickup in the distributor.

Ya know I'm not exactly sure how you can check the mag pickup, worst part bout that is you have to take the distributor out and take it apart to get it out. And I gotta tell you I'm just takin a guess, if all of your other ignition parts are already new thats bout all thats left. Either the mag pickup or the igntion module.
