Default 94F's 1994 F150 Slow Build

Hey guys, I'm Carson aka 94F. I have a 1994 Ford F150 Shortbed with a 4.9L Inline 6cyl. This is my 3rd vehicle I've owned and I am proud to have it. I bought this truck from a friend of a friend for $2000 and it's low miles. The body work concerns me a bit but I've found a parts truck that I plan on replacing and painting pieces to make it all go togther. Thanks for checking out my build!

KEEP IN MIND:
I am a 18year old high school student in my senior year, I am no mechanic and I pay for all of my mods. Any mods on the truck were worked for by me, and any and all time out into this build is on my behalf. Thanks.

MODS:
- 2in Body Lift (Front & Rear)
- 4in Rancho Suspension Lift Kit
- 15x12 Aftermarket Wheels
- 33x12.50x15 Maxxis 751 Radial Tires

AND PLENTY MORE TO COME!

Good luck with the project. Looks like quite a list. How's the truck run? I would hate to think you put all this stuff in and then you have problems keeping the truck on the road. You may want to spend a little on the engine and drive train. That's the unfortunate thing about older trucks, the parts are old and can give out at any time. Should be a nice truck when your done though.

Talking New Wheels!

Found a set of Cragar Soft 8 Steel Wheels for a deal I could not pass up. After practically stealing them for the price I ended up paying, I was even more stoked when I picked them up. The lady I purchased them from, "forgot" to mention that they were 15x10inch with a 2inch offset. Upon discovering this I wasn't sure of the difference it would make compared to the setup I had on currently. After doing my research and making a few calls, TURNS OUT a 15x10 is better than a 15x12 on a 12.5inch wide tire and with the 2inch offset, the wheels and tires are just as wide as before!! Needless to say the truck sits better on its new wheels and I sold the previous set for more than double what they were worth!

Thanks! The truck runs great as of now, as long as I can keep the ol' girl mechanically sound... She'll be a damn nice truck when it's all said and done!

Glad to see another 18 year old building up one of these older F150s.
Really like how the truck is turning out so far. A lot of the mods you want to do I like.

Put up some pics of the whole truck! I like to see what you are starting with, (don't worry if it's not perfect because that's why it's a build thread!) and it gives a good comparison later on when there are a few more mods. I have pics of when I first got my truck from my dad compared to what it is now. Not a whole lot different, as I'm only 18 with a limited budget just like you, but a few things can go a long way.

*EDIT - I agree with redneckford, I like the list that you have. 90% of the things on that list are also on mine! Also, make sure you keep up with the rust prevention maintenance, especially with steel wheels. I'm not sure where you live, but here in Iowa the salt and moisture definitely take a big toll. My factory steel wheels are so rusted, I have to air them up at least twice a week. I have 2 replacement rims, but I'm trying to find 2 matching rims still. On top of that, I desperately need new tires as well.
