Its not a fuel gauge problem, when I first relized it I was on a trip and had filled both tanks, was running on the front tank for much longer then normale so I switched to the rear tank to find that it was almost down to half, so I stoped at a gas station to verify thinking it was the gauge, but no it was down to about half.

My 94 F-150 front tank gage reads empty after filling the day before. I purchased a Ford sending unit but am waiting to put it in until front pump needs replacing due to the amount of work needed to access it. Is this gage problem a common one among F-150's??

The sending unit is a common problem. The fuel pump for a '94 comes with the sending unit.
