Default front pump removal

I am installing a B&M shift kit in my 1993 f150 with the e40d. I am not sure how to remove the front pump to replace the pressure spring, all the bolts are out but it will not pull out.

you'll need two slide hammers. theres two holes that have a second set of threads in em. i cheated and used a chain, and two bolts in the slide hammer threads and pried but it was still a pain in the ****

if you're taking the pump apart, make sure you line it back up to itself(the two halves) very centered on eachother or it WILL NOT go back in. they sell a band for it, but as long as you're extremely careful with it you can line it back up just fine when you put it back together, good luck
