If that is what you think then you have a lot more to learn.

To the OP: save your money and buy a beater 4wd. The 4wd on street tires will go more places than your lifted 2wd on 35" mud tires.

I have about $1200 in my 95 351W 4wd, including a set of $500 tires. For what it is going to cost you to lift it and get tires, you could get started on a 4wd.

Do you want a 4x4 eventually? if so, sell your truck and buy a 4x4. OR when you do the lift, swap in the 4x4 front axle. Your front axle is coming out when you do the lift anyhow, might as well install the 4x4 one.

yer on the right track, there is more power lost due to the motor simpley havein to turn everything. t-case takes up some rwhp, and the front end is more of a resistance thing. if yer not gonna get 'er in too deep of mud it should be a fun off road truck.

Yeah I'm not too big into mudding, I'm more into like the baja style side of things, just plain dirt lol, no mud. I like basically just off roading on unpaved huge hills and stuff with rocky terrain :P And thanks for correcting me on that, so a little bit of power loss... okay I gotcha

I've got 33" x 12.50 maxxis mudders on my truck. They're fairly cheap, and for a mud tire they run good on the road. My truck is a daily driver and even at highway speeds the tires aren't very loud and they wear evenly. You can find them for like 130 a piece
