93 Wont start acts like bad battery
Hello
Ive got a 93 f150 with a 302/AT. The truck has run flawlessly until yesterday. I had run it around all day. Got home about an hour later went to go somewhere and the truck acts like it has a dead battery. I put the charger on the battery and the meter reads fully charged. The headlights will not come on but the dome light dash and under hood light all seem to be working fine until I turn over the key and then die out. Once I turn the key off all comes back on. I replaced the solenoid on the fender to no avail. I have continuity from the battery to the main power on the starter. And the Battery seems to be registering plenty of juice. Any Ideas would be appreciated.

The battery is pretty old, but I have never had a problem starting. It fires right up. Another puzzling thing is that periodically one of the front and not the rear blinkers would come on. Even though they were not turned on.

That sounds strange... Do you have jumper wires? connect them both to a battery (-) at one end, and at other end one of them attach to any metal part of an engine, another to the body grounging connection. If it woun't start, i think it's time to replace a battery before trying anything else.

I had a battery charger on it yesterday and all I got was thee starter to click and all the power to dim. Once I shut the key off the power would charge back up. With or with out the charger on it.

If you're sure that there is sitll some life in a battery - try to connect the battery (-) directly to the engine. but i think your battery is dead already. it's voltage is ok, but it has lost it's charging capacity.

All batteries dont fade then die. I got stuck with no hint of trouble, the truck even turned over strongly for a second then would do nothing. That was my first hint that there was anything wrong.
