Default 93 f150 power windows

did a search and didnt find anything under this topic. power windows on drivers side worked great, dual control driver side controles passengers side and drivers side. drivers side worked great until yesterday then when i went to put it up window would not go up, but would go down. now the passengers side controlled from the drivers side will go down but not up. is it the motor or the switches?anyway .can i bypass the drivers switch to get the drivers window up? cardboard will keep the rain out for so long, i was thinking of swapping switches and just troubleshoot. any help would be appreciated. thank you

Sounds like a bad connection, somewhere. It could be the switch or where the wires connect to the motor.

If the motor is good you can bypass the switch to put the window up. Unplug the switch and find the yellow wire and the white wire with a black stripe (this one also might be red, it could be either). Hook power to one wire and ground to the other and the window will move in one direction. If it goes down then swap the power and ground and it will go up.

dude, my switches work like a champ, the motors work, the mechanism to physically push up the windows is bad. they go down really well. It sounds like we have a similar problem. unless your passenger side switch works to push the window up AND down.

it was the switch. just swapped the passenger side switch thats on the drivers side with the drivers side switch and it worked like a champ, only when i want to roll the passengers window down i use part of my cane pole to get it down. thanks for your replies
