i have a 93 f150 2wd with the e40d. it shifts super hard from 1st to 2nd only after about 20 minutes of driving also it whines all the time. but it shift fine . only till about 20 minutes into the drive it starts acting up the truck has 200k on it is my trans done or is there a easy fix has new fluid and filter and 1 quart of lucas. any help would be nice thanks

i have an 89 2wd with 129,xxx miles on it and it only shifts hard from 1st to 2nd when im real hard on the throttle, and im an automotive student and had an automatic transmission class the only thing i could think of would be that if your real hard on the throttle it will shift hard, i dont know how you drive though, the only other thing would be if it heats up more than usual it might shift like that, sorry i dont really have any advice but if you all drive it really hard on the throttle, try driving it "softly" and see if it still does it, and if not than thats your answer
