92 302 bad egr?
I have a 92 f150 and cant figure out for sure what the problem is here is what's going on
- high idle while in park or neutral at about 1500rpm but it varies some.
- sometimes the idle is more normal at around 800rpm but when this happens the engine knocks whenever it shifts.
-had very erratic idle when at a stoplight once had to give it gas to keep it from stalling.
- sometimes the egr makes a buzzing type noise when the truck is running
-i would expect the pipe that carries the exhaust gasses and is threaded to the egr to get hot but it does not
The part that's really throwing me off is that i do not have a check engine light, i have pulled the vacuum line off of the egr and could barely feel anything from it

Start with chasing the vacuum line and check for a leak... The hard plastic lines dry out and crack over time. May just be worth the piece of mine to replace the whole length, vacuum line is cheap.
