Question 91 Oil Pressure Question

The oil pressure in my 91 F150 302 V8 is kind of low. It stays in the "Normal" range, but on the low end. What are some good ways I could build my oil pressure up?

The oil pressure gauge is a dummy gauge....It reads any thing over 4 PSI of oil pressure as good.

You need to buy a aftermarket gauge or modify your existing gauge.

Try putting a new sending unit on and see if it reads different. Might give it a different spot on the gauge to hang out at and make you feel better.
It's not a true reading, just an electric gauge so unless it suddenly drops to nothing, don't worry about it too too much.

Usually, the Autozone brand oil pressure switches (Duralast/Wells) read higher. As everyone else mentioned, it is a dummy gauge. Same with your temperature gauge. The Autozone brand of those read higher as well.

As far as how to actually boost your oil pressure, going to a thicker viscosity oil will do it, but it's really not necessary and your gauge probably won't read any different.

Default 91 Oil Pressure Question

I recommend installing an aftermarket gauge. I bought an equus one from O'Reilly's and I like it. Pretty inexpensive and gives you peace of mind. I just removed the stock sending unit on mine, only con is a "dead" gauge on your instrument cluster, but I don't mind.
