Default 89 f150 wont turn off!

ok guys I am new here so please be nice. I tried searching for this but could not find the answer. i just bought a 1989 f150 today. worked great but batt was dead (been sitting for most of 2 years) I through a charger on it to start her up (50 amp for starting) when I did this is started right up but the starter would not stop spinning(sounded like it just had too much power) so i turned her off and she just kept on running. I ran around to the front and pulled the charger, it only stopped when the batt died. so I pulled the cables off and charged just the batt for awhile. now whenever i put the cables back on it wants to start up even with the key in the off position.!! what gives? did I fry the siloniod? ignition switch?any help would be great!! maybe the replay switch?

oh I should mention that it was running fine before, but batt was dying and it died from me starting it too much and not letting it recharge, thats why I used the charger.

I would spend the 10 bucks to get a new starter solenoid from O'Reillys, Redneck's right, that's probably what it is.
