Hi, I really need help. My problem is my wipers will only work for about 30 seconds and then shut off. After about the same amount of time they will start working repeating this cycle. I replaced the wiper motor with little change. These are the intermittent wipers on a 1989 F150. Thanks Terry

You could try the actual wiper switch in the dash, you should be able to just nab one at the junkyard cheap to see if that's the problem

the intermidete control module is bad or a wire is disconected the module is under the dash follow the wires off the switch it should run to a module then the harness now you can replace it or take it out and open it up and check the circit board for unsolderd joints and resolder them good luck

went to the pick a part yesterday (Crazy Rays). I got a switch and the module for twenty bucks. It turned out to be the switch. thanks, terry

The solder job fixed it for me , but there was some serious wrangling to get that puppy out. I was amazed since it didnt look like any of the solder connection were funky.
But resuls speak loudly. Didnt want to replace wiper motor-no thanks. Any other tricks of the trad for the 1989 f 150 out there?? Thanks Now the next job is the power window motor replacement. Heck I just love this truck dents and all.
