89 F150 tranny swap from 2000 F150?
Hey guys, I've been searching Craigslist for a transmission for my 89 F150 2wd 5 speed and can't find a thing without driving 3 hours +. There is a guy with a 2000 F150 5 speed in my home town, but he didn't specify what model transmission he actually has. The doner vehicle is a 2000 4.2l 2wd 5 speed. Can anyone tell me what transmission he has? If it is a m5r2, will it bolt to my 4.9L in my 89?
I've poked around a little and discovered it is a m5r2. Now the only question is will it bolt up to my 4.9L?
