Default 89 F150 5.0 engine miss

Hey all,
I have an 89 F150 4X4 with the 5.0 motor, rebuilt 90K ago. It has a random miss between 700 and 2000 RPMs under load, and when I throw it in neutral at a stop light, sometimes it just chokes and dies, but starts right up again no problem. I've changed the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, EGR solenoid, PCV Valve, Throttle positioning Sensor/Stepper motor, the high and low pressure fuel pumps, the dual function resevoir, and fuel filter . I've cleaned the intake, tuned the timing, cleaned the injectors, done a compression test (all 150+), and run codes and come up with nothing. I'm about ready to run the beast off a cliff. Any ideas?

Did you change out your distributor or the parts in/on your distributor? If the pickup on the inside of the distributor is bad or if the TFI (ignition module) outside of the distributor is bad, you can have problems of this nature.

I bought an entirely new unit made by Richporter for about $70 bucks and never looked back since.

Just something to consider........
