Default 89 bronco 2wd swap

I found a 89 with some front diffirential issues that is a perfect canidate for a 2wd swap and it looks like all I need to do is remove the 4X4 parts and bolt the 2wd front suspension parts, all i need to know are the crossmembers under the motor and the spring pockets the same as the look the same as my 95 F150.

Today I picked up a complete 2wd front suspension and tomorrow I will be picking up a 2wd AOD that has a fresh rebuild so after the first of the month the destruction begins.

Did Ford ever make a 2wd Bronco from the factory in these years?

None from the factory that I know of in the states except for the prototype with the lightning motor,I hear they were available in South America but thats too far to go to get one.

80-96 F150\Bronco 4x4 and 4x2 chassis are basically the same. The Bronco has the same frame as the truck except its shorter, so buckets and front cross member the same, just measure the radius rod mount locations between the truck and bronco to be sure.

Just curious? Why switch to 2wd? Broncoes were purpose built offroad vehicles with their short wheelbase. Its not like your gonna get it to go fast. To each his own tho, just wondering.

Cause I want to be different and no where to go offroading around here any way,I seen the prototype with the lightning drivetrain Ford made and always wanted a 2wd version so I bought one with issues with the hubs to build one. Plans are for a 351-W something like the lightnings had in the future.
