88 F-150 wont start please help
i have a 88 f-150 with a 302. I was driving the truck down the road and it just shut off. it fired right back up but only ran for like 10 seconds and shut back off. The only thing it does now is crank over. I put a new ignition coil on it you can hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the key on. I was thinking maybe it could be a fuel pressure regulator. Any ideas??
Thanks

Typical culprits for this are the TFI module mounted on the side of the distributor, or the PIP module located inside the distributor. There are tests for these given in most shop manuals, so don't start shotgunning parts else you may have two problems to solve - the original problem and the problem with a potential faulty out-of-the-box part.
My experience with replacing the PIP module is that it's usually more time-efficient to just get a replacement distributor that already has the PIP installed. It's a real pain to get the distributor drive gear off without destroying something.

i was going to replace the ditributor and the module, but i didnt because i put a new gas filter on and it ran good for about 30 miles. Then it started to shut off going down the road and then start back up. After a couple times of doing that it just stalled and couldnt get it started again. Waited 30 min and went out and cranked it over a couple of times and then the truck fired back up again but only ran for like 30 sec. and shut back off. It did that a couple times and then i stopped messing with it. I am confused on what to do or what it is??

My vote would be the TFI Module; You can test it and the distributor P/U :
