Default '85 F-150 XLT with a problem here guys, no fuel has fuel injection

Hi I just bought a 1985 Ford F-150 XLT 2wd for a simple work truck I only paid like $300.00 for the thing and it turns over and everything and it has spark. But I'm not getting fuel up to the motor (it has EFI in it) so it has the three fuel pumps (the one in each tank and the one along the frame rail) now is it at all possible that all three have gone out or could I be jumping to conclusions to fast. Am I over looking something small I could fix and get this thing to run again. I the guy I bought the pickup from said he drove to where it is now he even drove it to put new tires on and only put 15 miles on them before the pickup wouldn't start anymore; only turn over and that's it. Any help on this would be great. Thanks guys.

If no pumps are running, suggest to check the fuel pump relay and the inertia switch.

Yes, it could have been in an accident, enough to shut off the fuel...

I know it wasn't in an accident. But I'll try to look at the relays and the inertia switch.

The inertia switch has a magnet thing holding a ball thing. They have been known to get weak and trip on a less-than-design bump - perhaps even a hard door slam.

If you don't find a quick fix, suggest to get a multi-meter and a wiring diagram and start chasing voltages.

Where would I find that switch, behind a kick panel?

I think it is. Or in the glove box. It will tel you in the owners manual if you have one. Oh that would be the passenger kick panel.

IIRC, mine is tucked up behind the brake pedal on the firewall.

On some models it in the right side kick panel. Check all the fuses and relays make sure they are working. Will it start on carb cleaner?

Carb cleaner? Do you mean starting fluid? No I haven't tried that at all.
