5.0 Mustang exhaust sound
When I was a teen Fox body Mustangs were in. I could identify a 5.0 from its sound a mile away.
I never had a Mustang, and probably never will but I'd love my truck to sound like one. What do I need to do?
I've heard I need H-pipes. Are there aftermarket exhaust systems for F150s with H-pipes? I've looked and haven't found any. Should I just go to a muffler shop and have them custom make one for me or would that be too expensive.
Living in Philadelphia suburbs labor is kind of expensive around here...

A truck is never going to sound quite like a mustang. mustangs don't weigh much in comparison, so they can be cammed way over to the power side and you don't have to worry much about torque.
That kind of cam in a heavy truck turns it into a real dead sled trying to pull away from a stop sign or traffic light.
But the right exhaust system on a truck can sound real good. Typically you'll end up with more of a rumble than the cracking sound of a mustang cam.
