Default 4x4 left front tire grinding noise

With my hubs locked and in 4 wheel and on the gas it's grinding. Take my foot off the gas and coasting, no grinding. But when I hit the brakes it grinds. This is the left front tire. What could it be? Could I have assembled it wrong? I tryed to reassemble it a different way and it got worse.

Any ideas on what it could be? Any pictures on what goes where?

Winter is coming!!

Earlier I took apart the hub assembly and the rotor off to see what it could be. I've found something but I would need an opinion. Has anyone else ever messed with the Dana 44 differentials in the front? My left axle ( the short one ) on the drivers side wobbles a little bit where it goes into the differential.

Is that normal to have play in it at the differential?

If it grinds only when braking than it more than likely is the brakes. The wobble from the axle stub is normal and not that much problem. You might have loose or bad wheel bearings that cause the grinding when the brakes applied. Check that the rotor is straight and not worn out.

It only grinds in 4 wheel. Never in 2 wheel. Only when the hubs are locked and in 4 wheel at the t case. Rotor
Is in great shape. Brakes are brand new.
But it turns out it's the differential bearing for the left shaft in front
