Just fix the motor man. You've got too much time and effort invested into it. A 7.3 is just a completely different level of money pit you don't want to deal with.

I agree with this. A 7.3 would be cool, but you'd spend a ton of money, and it's highly likely you'd end up with underwhelming power, and you'd probably have to get some new front suspension parts to handle the extra weight. I personally think if you want power you should do a turbo build on that 300, I've seen people do that and make some hella good horsepower and torque numbers... That'd be pretty cool, but that's just my opinion

The logistics are overwhelming - new transmission, new engine crossmember (basically new frame) new wiring harness, new suspension - and we haven't even gotten to the motor yet.

Good call on keeping the 300 and making it work!

damn sure will, I have the problem piston out lol definitely had blowby, we are gonna change the rings... after its running right I'm gonna dyno it... thanks for the motivation, definitely need it
