well gents had some major issues driving.... pulled the plugs and cylinder #3 is blowing oil past the ring.... so this 300 is getting yanked and a 7.3 powerstroke is going in... stay tuned

So at this point you have some options.
1) you can yank the 300, send the bottom end to a machine shop and get it rebuilt slightly oversized (reconditoned crank, rods, new bearings, rings, pistons, resurface the deck)
2) find another good running 300 and swap it in( don't think you'll want that since you have a cam swap already)
3) swap the 7.3 in like you said.
4) swap in a 351w roller from 96 (to retain MAF) because it will bolt up to your transmission.
For the money spent, I would be more inclined to rebuild the 300 bottom end or swap in a 351a. These are the cheapest and easiest options I feel.
