power window motor
well after 170,000 miles and a lot of use i have to replace my power window motors, they have been working slower and slower for the last couple years. i went to pick-a-part and found two same years trucks, question is that one of these trucks have a different looking motor, there round instead of the kinda of flat on each side of it like the original, and the round ones say ford on them. i know they have been replaced because the regulator mounting bracket is screwed on the door instead of riveted. so are these motors exactly the same just different configuration.

You don't even have to take the window regulator out, it's way easier to just drill the 3 dimple spots on the door where the window motor is at, then take the bolts out., unplug the motor and it comes right out.

when I took the motor out I just held the window up with a peice of string laying around
i attached some pix i had on my phone when I did mine a while ago, first ones the window held up with string, second ones me takin the bolts out through the holes I drilled. third picture is taking the motor out of the speaker hole.
