Default 3g alternator and taurus e-fan

I'm getting ready to swap on my 3g alternator and my Taurus e fan. I was wondering if anyone had pictures of how they mounted their fan. Thanks!

I used a crown vic e fan and used 4 zip ties to hold it to the radiator

I used metal strap. One top center and two on the bottom. One at each corner. Do not run anything through the fins of the radiator. Can cause leaks from the vibrating fan. Not sure of the Taurus fan size. My Chrysler fans sit about an inch from the radiator surface so there's chance of rubbing at contact points. Zip ties do not do well with long term heat exposure. I'd worry about them becoming brittle and breaking.

Brackets on either side to prevent rubbing, mounted to top/bottom mounting holes in the radiator. I also changed the location of the temp sensor and mounted it to the bottom of the upper radiator hose.

Top strap, bolts to hole already in the frame.

I mounted my entire set-up without drilling any holes in the truck. I did drill some holes on top/bottom of fan for the strap mounts. I also used some zip ties (heavy duty) to pull the fan to the straps on either side that keep it from touching the fins just to prevent any rattling that may have occurred.

Had mine going for 4 months or so and haven't had any issues. Go with a 130 amp alternator, I love the amount of power mine has.

Just be sure to upgrade the wire from the alternator. I used the original wire (one that I upgraded) to beef up the battery to ground.

Yup I have a battery cable as my charge wire. It's a little overkill but that's ok.
