Default #2 cyl 1996 Straight 6

Can anyone tell me which plug is my #2 cyl? I am getting an error code for that cyl plus I either have a blown head gasket of a cracked head. I want to pull out my plugs and look at them. Since I am getting a a error on my computer code I want to know exactly which one that is. Thanks

Because I had water coming out of my exhaust and when the motor warms up it would start smoking real bad.

Well i took most of my plugs out and looked them over. Sure enough number 2 cyl spark plug was damp. Then when I looked in the hole I could see antifreeze sitting on top of the piston. So I put my other plugs back in and left #2 plug out. Started in the truck for a second and blew all the antifreeze out. I don't have any water in my oil. I'm thinking it is most likely a blown head gasket. I don't think there is anything else I can do except tear it apart and see if it is the head gasket or craked head...

Yup, and when you do take the head to a machine shop and have it magnafluxed to be absolutely sure the head is not cracked.....a good machine shop will automatically check for warping too.

Most likely the head is cracked, the I6 is known for that.

IIRC, it's usually around the valve seat that cracks anyhow.
