Thanks for the positive comments everyone! Got some goodies from rock auto today! The plug wires are 8mm and blue. Distributer cap is blue as well with brass contacts. Also got 4 Gabriel pro guard shocks for the front. They aren't what I wanted but we're too cheap to pass up. I will upgrade to better shocks when it comes time to replace coils. Got rear brake lines and axle vent installed as well.

What a time we had getting the distributor cap off...The screw heads were rusted so bad that I couldn't get a socket or anything to work. Ended up using a chisel to break off and remove the old cap so we could expose the screws. Then dremeled a slot in them and slowly worked them out with a big flathead driver, vice grips and deep creep. Took almost 3 hrs but didn't break them. Got new plugs, wires cap and rotor on. It definitely needed it, everything was shot. I still gotta tidy up wires and add some separators but I ran out of daylight. Thanks for looking.

Besides replacing from the cats back with new oem style pipe and muffler and tightening clamps, no.

Got her started and turned around. Both pumps primed and gas gauges are correct. Idled and ran nice actually besides dripping oil lol. Blew out a rear wheel cylinder which is fine because I'll be replacing everything on the drums anyways. Now will start on front end-oil pan gasket, shocks, radius arm bushings and whatever else I may find lol. I also noticed that the blower (heater) only works on high setting so I'll have to look into that as well.

Finally got the truck inside and started on the front end. Got the coil spring and shocks out on drivers side. Coil came out surprisingly easy. The shocks wouldn't go down without a fight but eventually succumbed to swearing and brute strength lol. The castle nut on top of the ball joint scares me though...Will also being replacing radius arm bushing, checking front brakes and bearing/seals. I have 4 new front shocks already and will be ordering a set of Moog cc824 coil springs. I was worried about the integrity of the shock tower but its cleaning up nice and is still nice and solid. I will clean up and paint everything first.

Heater probably needs a new resistor block. It's under the hood sorta near the blower motor. 2 little screws holding it on. 7mm maybe ?

Haha it does need to be replaced!!! The blower motor only works on high. Ill be doing that soon too. I still need to order that and the rear brake drums, hardware and wheel cylinders to finish the brakes. If money allows i will replace the front gas tank as well. Its OK now and I already have new straps, lock ring and gasker but it would be piece of mind.

Looking good! I'm jealous, it's going to be a brand new truck when you're done!
