Default 1996 f150 dual exhaust

So had my 96 F-150 for about 6 months and it is in great condition it has a 5.0 and I am trying to decide on a dual exhaust to get for it any suggestions and was also thinking about lifting her 3 inches.

Nice truck! I recommend true duals with glasspacks, sounds great. I went with summit racing knockoff flowmaster super 10's and they sound great too but I wish I had went with glasspacks. YouTube is great when your trying to decide on an exhaust setup. Welcome to the forum

Make sure you get a cross pipe for proper scavenging. Important on these f.i. motors. I know sound is important to some of you, but sound should take a back seat to proper performance.

My setup doesn't have a crossover, and it performs great. But it might perform better with one. Also its important that you don't go to big with the pipe diameter. I went with 3 inch, and contrary to popular belief, it didn't kill my low end torque. However I should've went with say 2" or 2 1/4". Maybe 2.5". The pipe is easier to bend, mufflers are easier to come by (also generally cheaper), it takes up less space, and it also probably would have helped me get the most low end torque possible out of this 302. I have to add though that my top end power is much improved over stock. Just my thoughts.

Are you Guys talking about an X-Pipe or an H-Pipe crossover set up? I have a BBK H-Pipe on my Cobra but it was put on Years ago,and if I ever change it I'll go with an X-Pipe.On my Lightning I have an Bassani X-Pipe.I think a X-Pipe would be better on our 5.0's...

I had true duals with purple hornie glass packs with tailpipes turned at 90 degrees out each side no tips muffler shop drilled and bunged the pipes for the o2 sensors and used 2 1/2 inch pipe with 30 inch mufflers.
