Default 1996 F150 6cyl

Well I am a new owner of a 96 F150 6cyl manual trans. I just got the truck yesterday traded a 87 honda helix scooter for the truck. I'm pretty happy with the deal. The truck is ideling a little rough. I'm going to go ahead and give the truck a good tune up. new plugs, wires, fuel filter, and all those things. The truck needs a good cleaning also so most likely Tuesday I will do that. A/C blows cold. My cousin has pretty much the same truck except its automatic trans and he has 230,000 on his truck. My mom has a 95 f150 V8 its been a good truck also.

Also clean the idle air control and the maf sensor if it has one, and the throttle body. That might help with rough idle.

Hey, i read in this forum that you can clean the idle air control with carb cleaner. My cousin said he did that on his truck and it messed it up. What is the right stuff to use to clean the idle air control.
