Question 1996 F150 302 to 351W swap

I have a 96 f150 with a 302 and a AODE trany and the engine has gone bad so I was wanting to do a 351w swap but I'm not sure what needs to be done to make the swap work. I'm also wanting to put a cam in it so I can push out a few ponies.

Any information that you guys have is greatly appreciated!

You will need a new ecu and wiring harness to match the 351. I believe the transmission will bolt up but the ecu has to match the transmission as well. OBDII is much more specific than OBDI. The engine and all its sensors must be complete. In my opinion it would be simpler and more cost effective to rebuild or replace the 302 with heads and a cam. It can make plenty of power.

Alright. What kind of low end cam can I use that will basically be a direct replacement and I wouldn't have to screw with the valve train.
