hello everyone. i have spent a good part of the afternoon looking at this great forum and and happy to now be a part of the community.
i inherited this 95 from my father who bought it new in 95. i love this truck and just can't bring myself to get rid of it, even after some of the problems it has given me. (it made me leave a fist sized dent in the driver side rear and destroy a cell phone.... my brakes popped and the engine froze while driving due to a clogged oil filter - all within a week.) its honestly in need of some work, primarily the chassis and the suspension. i would like to overhaul the engine bay - some things to list that have been done already
* new *
engine block for the 302. has about 10k miles on it.
upgraded to stainless brake lines
new rotors and pads
alternator
distributor cap and rotor
2nd transmission
upgraded stereo system
installed new driver side rear leaf spring mount. other one rusted out
*what id like to do*
replace all the leaf spring mounts
replace suspension
paint job, matte black with white powdercoated rims
rebuild/replace engine/trans
take out dings and dents in body panels
clean and repaint the frame, repair if necessary
upgrade to slotted rotors
lower the entire stance of the truck so there isnt so much gap between wheel wells
upgrade the interior
take off emblems entirely
change grille
replace headlights, a lot of condensation in them for some reason.
any thoughts and help/tips are greatly appreciated!!!
