Default 1995 F150 (Fuel Problem)

Hi people. Im new to the ford game and bought a 1995 F150 XL with a 300 i6 EFI, I brought the truck for a test drive and it ran awesome, after i took the truck home i decided to take the truck for a drive it the woods, it ran great until i started getting a sputter, so we pulled over and couldnt diagnosis the problem, after taking off it got alot worst, so i pulled over and called a tow truck, I know for a fact its a fuel problem but i can hear the fuel pump turn on when i turn the key, what else could it possibly be? Sorry for being a noob, but im more conserned about fixing my problem... Thank yous in advance!

First thing I would do is throw a new fuel filter on it. If it still does it hook a pressue gauge up on the fuel rail and see what the pressure looks like.

First thing I would do would be to check the codes, see the sticky at the top of the forum.

I totally agree with the diagnosis codes, filter, fuel pressure and go from there. I replaced my fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and finally the pump, ran like a champ, well that was 3 months ago and guess what, It started it again today I am getting ready to go through it all over again. Such is life......

Do you have dual tanks? Check to make sure your switch is working properly.

Yes, first things first - check the fuel pressure. A pump can make noise and even produce some pressure. But if it's not enough pressure, it won't run the truck. The injectors will drip a bit instead of spray. You can borrow one at places like autozone, or just go buy one - it doesn't have to be expensive
