1995 F150 AC compressor may be toast
1995 Ford F150. AC would only blow warm air. The compressor stopped engaging but I could turn the compressor clutch plate by hand.
I used the AC Pro 134a recharge can with gauge.
Once I began filling the freon, the compressor engaged. Suddenly the gauge went into the red zone, the clutch stopped and the compressor smoked.
I immediately turned the AC off and bled the low pressure port. AC clutch does not engage. Now I cannot turn the clutch plate at all.
Any help is appreciated.
