1994 F150 giving me a few problems...HELP
Hey all I'm new to the site and a proud new owner of a 94 f150. I have a few minor issues I need some help on.
First of all its got dual gas tanks on it which is a nice feature however it suddenly stopped drawing gas from the front tank, and when I switch to that tank to use it the truck just slowly bogs down and dies from lack of fuel. Does anyone know if there are individual pumps for the gas tanks or is something else the problem??? Also my rear tank has a leak whats a good spot to get plastic tanks cheap?
The final problem is that is came with the steel bumper on it but I hit something with it, bending it just enough to rub on the tires when I turn so I'm looking to replace it with a tube style off road bumper but am having trouble locating one....i was wondering what a good place to look would be???
Thanks!!!!

Yes there is a pump in each tank, there is a screen on each of them which might be clogged, or the main filter might be clogged. As far as a plastic tank, I hink you are stuck with a metal one. I havent seen any plastic for our years.
And find a local speed shop for the front bumper.

the leakey tank get some of the pour in epoxy remove tank, clean it, epoxy and hang to dry. as for the bumper id go to a local steel fab shop and have one made, most of the time its cheaper.

Yep, should be a separate fuel pump for each tank. As a previous poster mentioned - don't overlook the possibility of a plugged pick-up screen in the tank - or a problem with the switching circuit or valve.
