1994 F-150, Fuel Problems
I have just got a 1994 F-150, 6cyl, stick. The man said it just stalled 1 day and he couldn't get it started again. Said fuel wasn't getting to the engine. I don't hear any noise at all from the pumps when I turn the key on. There are 2 tanks in this truck. I have done just about everything that I was told to see if I could find this problem. Does this truck have a separate pump on the engine itself??????? Need help with this. Can anyone give thier input please...

F-150 Fuel Problem
I dropped 1 tank, drivers side, took the fuel pump out checked it. And runs when I connect power to it.
Changed a few blown fuses. And nothing
Checked the swith under dash on passengers side. Nothing
When I dropped the tank. I took the fuel pump out, drivers side. Kept it connected. When I turned the key I still didn't hear anything at all....

There are going to be two relays the ECM relay is what sends power to the coils in the pump relay. When you first turn the key on can you hear the relays latch in (click)?
Also you need to do a voltage check at the relays if you have voltage coming out of the relays check for it at the inertia switch then at the tank selector switch then at the pumps to see where you are loosing it at. Or you can start at the pumps and work you way back to the pump fuse checking for voltage.
Just remember you should only have power to the pumps for a couple of seconds when the key is first turned on. But you can put a jumper wire to ground on the data test plug to put constant power to the pumps to do the voltage checks

my truck turns over and as soon as it has started it will just turn off and sometimes if u give it gas it will puff a couple of time and then it will turn off. any solutions?
