Just tested the TPS. I'm getting 3.75v constant to the orange wire

At idle its at 0.76v

Wide open is 3.46.

It climbs steadily, doesn't seem very jumpy.

Bad tps?

clogged cat...
just an educated guess. anyone who can keep a turbo coupe around can figure this out. lmao! reset the compter, drive a few miles, then do a running test with the actron reader(boy, those things are state-of-the art<aren't they?)
It's something stupid, it always is on these trucks.

Don't know what the acceptable values are off the top of my head. Maybe someone will chime in who's done it recently. Or, i believe Haynes manual will tell you or do a search on the interwebs.

Haha I know what ya mean with the turbo coupe. I actually sold that back in 2010. It was my 2nd one. Fun lil cars! I did reset the computer after I changed the tps last night (unplugged the battery for half hour or so). Only thing it did was make my battery light come on and stay on and my cd player is working again? Lol I gave up on the actron reader and have been using the jumper method with the cel. Haven't done an engine running test yet though.

From what I found online the constant power from the orange wire should be 5 volts. At idle from the green cable should be about .8-9v and wot should be 4.8v. I already changed the tps last night though and 0 change in driveability.

Did you re-test the new one? Also, did you reset the system to re-learn the new sensor?

Sorry. Should have said "clear the pcm". Just unhook the battery for a few minutes. It will be reset and then will relearn the input from the sensors.

I did disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes after installing the new TPS.

About to do a KOER test now.
