1994 5.0 F150 only runs under WOT
Like the title says, my 5.0 powered 94 auto f150 started sputtering randomly one day. It would come and go every now and then but eventually it got to where every time I'd go to drive it, it'd start sputtering ONCE IT GOT UP TO OPERATING TEMPS.
It's like the truck is starving for fuel and sputtering and the CEL comes on briefly and when it starts driving normal again, the light goes away.
I've already changed the fuel filter and cleaned the air filter. Does it on both fuel tanks as well.
Also when I go WOT it runs like a champ, and idles fine and revs fine in neutral or park. It'll take off EVERY TIME I mash the go pedal to the floor.
It started doing this last October, and I just parked her because I have an 03 Cobra I drive daily. Well drove daily. I lost all compression in cylinder 7 last week in her so I need to get my truck running right again while I have my cars motor tore apart.
Thanks in advance! Here's a pic of ole Betsy. 1994, automatic, pw, pl, ps, cold ac (that's never been charged-not once) keyless entry, k&n intake, no mufflers but still has cats, Ford Racing 3.73 gears in the rear (had 3.08's stock!). Bought it from my father in 2007 after joining the Navy and he's had it since it was practically new. It's now sitting at about 165,000 miles. Original paint, except for the hood.

So I plug in my actron obd1 reader and the "self test output" light comes in while its in "hold". I then go in my truck and turn the key to run, get out, shut the door, and turn the switch on the tester from hold to "test". The sto light turns off, my fuel pumps kick on, some relays click, and that's all that happens.
Bad tester? Guess I could try the jumper method just to verify.
