Default 1993 f150 dual tanks help

So I've seen a couple of threads kind of about this but not exactly answer me questions.

I have dual tanks and this problem just started recently. When i fill up my front tank and have gas in the rear, i'll run the front tank and the gas will run from my front tank and go to E. But will NOT run out of gas, but instead run gas from the rear tank without switching tanks. This didn't use to happen it just started after the truck was sitting for a few months because the transmission went out.

o yeah and both tanks switch because my fuel gauge changes when i switch tanks.

I've read a few posts that say it might be the fuel assembly but i am not sure.

Any help would be great. Thanks;

So.... what switch? And how would i go about fixing or replacing it? Is it part of the fuel assembly? And if the fuel assembly is bad how would i tell which one is bad? Thanks

I'm pretty sure he means the switch in the dash. And if you aren't flicking the switch and its running off both tanks, maybe the switch is bad and powering both pumps constantly? I'd whip out a test light and a wiring diagram for the dash switch and check it first. It's the easiest thing to do and you won't get dirty under the truck checking it.

o alright. Well I'll give it a try. But I'm not sure if that's it because when i flip the switch from front to rear the gas gauge changes. But I check it. Thanks
