Default WTF Spark plug socket

Ive gone through every socket I have, and cannot get one to seat over the spark plug.

90 f150, I6, 4x4, 4spd.

What size do I need? Im starting to think previous owner used the wrong size.

Ive used 3/4 and 19mm, and its not big enough. but I dont want to go out and buy single sockets at $4 a piece just to figure out the right one.

Mine is 3/4 and I have a 300 6 also. I'd also try all the standard plug sockets. 5/8, 13/16, 3/4 and I think 15/16 or 7/8 is another

Try a 13/16 it was the standard for years so sombody might have installed the older plugs in your engine. if they are the standard plugs just take a new plug to the tool store and fit it

I just bought a nice Stanley deep impact socket set. Quality made but it was missing the two sizes that i use quite often when i'm working on my truck.

15 & 18 MM

I'm starting to wonder if it's a Ford thing to keep us Yahoos out from under the hood.

(Can't do the job if you don't have the tool.)

13/16 cheap ones work better as they have a thinner wall. My craftsman is a little thick and would bind up some . Not alot of room way down in there.

The socket to remove and install my plugs was 13/16's, tried some standard sockets and they didn't work, I brought the plug to the store and it fit the old plugs as well.
