Default 1992 f150 ignition problem need help

So my ignition has been screwed up since I bought the truck. I only used my keys to lock/unlock my doors. I could turn the truck on and off without key. The other day I stopped and tried to turn the truck off they ignition lock cylinder just rolled back. With a new ignition in it would not even turn forward or backward. So I took my ignition switch down to check if that was the problem. All positions on the switch work so I believe it is the actuator rod. Has anyone had this problem on a 92? I have a tilt column with cruise control and all that. Debating on getting an actuator rod or just replacing the column if I can ever find the same one. If you have any experience with these if greatly appreciate your input. Thanks!

You should be able to pick up a whole other column for about 75 bucks. 92 to 96. Might have to swap over your steering wheel and clockspring if the options/ years are different.
Afternoon job. Keep the old one for spare parts maybe.
