1992 F-150 XLT Fuel Gage, Fuel Pump, Gas Tank Problems
The front fuel tank on my truck has never worked in the very short 9 days that I've had it. If I switch to the front tank while running the car stalls and if I start it up it won't. While the car is on the fuel gage will read the frontank as having waaay more, about a quater to a half tank more gas than full. It think this is a misreading. I read that specifically with the '92 models this often is a sign of the fuel pump needing replacement. I was just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions.

switch to the tank that you think the fuel pump is bad in.... hook a fuel pressure tester up and test it.... that'll tell you if your even getting any fuel pressure to the motor or not! either that, or you've got a fuel filter thats highly clogged up
