My 91 F150 will not fire. I have power to the coil and to the module but no spark at the distributor.is it safe to say it's the module.If that's not my trouble ,there is no return of electrical parts.......is there any way to test the module

Most autoparts stores can test the module. I am having same trouble and have replaced the coil module and rebuilt the distributor. Let me know what you found out.

Could be the pick-up inside the distributor.. Don't think they can test that. Could test if you had a known good dist and swap it out with yours..

Yes, the Autoparts store can test the TFI module.

The pick-up module can be checked with an ohmmeter. Most shop manuals will have the specs.

I m not 100% sure but i think its open closed, like points so if you ohm it you should have low resistance then infinite, or open circuit. If you have a test light you can clip it on the leads of the coil connector, it should flash. Steady on or steady off somthings wrong.
My coil connector corroded a few years back and my truck lost fire, when i stuck the probes from my meter in the top of the conector , evevything was fine, when i turned the connector over and metered the coil side, it was dead, one of the terminals was broken inside the body of the connector.
