Default Wheel bearing problems

I've have my truck for a couple weeks, so I've been trying to work out the minor things. Changed both front inner and outer wheel bearings last weekend, drove 160 km and did a little playing in the mud once. Came home to find both wheels slanted in at the top. Jacked it up and it's like the wheel bearings are beat right out of it. Had to leave the truck for the week so just wondering if anybody has come into a situation like this, it's like the bearing are loose, I know I shouldn't of went with the cheapest bearings but 160 km is pretty crazy to be ruined. It's a stock dana 44, 302 5 spd 6 inch lift turning 35s. Any advice would be appreciated thanks

1. Are your spindles in good shape?
2. Did you properly install your bearing locknuts?
3. Did you change your races as well?
4. Did you properly preload your new bearings?

I completely rebuilt a Dana 44 in my previous truck. I used the cheapest bearings (Timken brand). I also replaced both hubs and used new races. The most significant thing I did was use Stage 8 X-Lock Bearing Locknuts. The factory locknuts are known for coming loose. I'm not the best mechanic, but there's my two cents. The Dana 44 I rebuilt is still running fine to this day and the wheels haven't came loose a bit.

Spindles were alright, some wear but nothing surprising for a 92, new bearings fit on tight. New races. Bearings were packed good. Was iffy with the lock but design so maybe it was that, like I said I didn't get a chance to take it apart before I had to come to work, hopefully it's just the fact that the lock but came loose, how much were your lock nuts? Thanks

Here's a link. They're 62 dollars for one side. 120 dollars isn't much considering they are guaranteed to never come loose if installed properly. They come with simple directions. NOTICE, these are for manual locking hubs only! Good luck and you're very welcome sir.
