Default 1990 f150 4x4 steering

I just got my truck out of the shop, replaced the steering box; it would not return to center. it was a pig to steer and required 110% attention to drive. I droped the tie rods to check ball jionts, sterring shaft, etc. Replacesd 2 tie rods as rubbers were split, had front end aligned and lubed. Now it steers like a Ford, but I want it to be better! Would a stableizer add a damping feel to make a stiffer feel while on the highway.
Oh yea it has 31" tires, plan to go back to stock tire as I am not after looks as aposed to handling.

I have a 93 with 31 and don't have a problem the stabilizer will just cover the problem instead of fixing the problem a loose feeling steering might be caused from tires, or loose components including the steering box.
