1989 Fuel Relay Problem
Does anybody have or know where I can get a detailed description on replacing/checking a fuel relay? I have a 1989 F150 XLT Lariat 4X4. Thanks guys!

I'm not exactly sure, but I am 90% sure that is what I replaced on my truck. It was right next to the EEC module. Drivers side behind the air filter box. There are 2 relays and the EEC on my truck. My fuel pumps wouldn't run, and it was because one of the 2 relays was bad. Even with a new relay installed, when the 2nd relay was disconnected, the fuel pumps still wouldn't run.. (The one second they run when you turn the key on, prior to start) So with both relays connected, it worked just fine! I might be able to help some if you still need it.
Hope it helps!

He's right on. There's an EEC and a fuel pump relay next to the EEC test port. Behind the air filter box, and if its still intact, its on a plastic bracket. The fuel pump relay is the green socketed one if I remember right.
