Must be different on your 89' but, I assure you that's where it is on my 94'. I know for sure cuz' when I just installed my K&N FIPK, I had to relocate it from the stock air cleaner box to the metal bracket in the kit....

I am glad there is a lot of excellent information being passed around here.

I change my ECT sensor and thermostat, the heat is hotter now, however I haven't seen any increases in gas mileage, I think I'm getting around 13 still, was getting 10-13, I'll fill it up today or tomorrow and check it, I think I am going to replace the O2 sensor also....
