1987 f150 Ford
I have a 87 f150 ford. Used the rear tank, which it had not been used in almost a year, it began to choke every time I axcelerated so I had the fuel filter changed and started using the front take again. The truck is still choking. It idles fine and coasts fine only when axcelerated does it choke.

Your truck has 3 fuel pumps, one low pressure pump in each tank and one high pressure pump on the frame. The low pressure pump pushes the fuel to the high pressure pump, which then pressurizes the fuel. If both tanks run equally crappy then the high pressure pump on the frame is most likely going bad. You should be able to easily hear if the pump is making excessive noise, another sign it's going bad. You can do a fuel pressure test to make sure.
